June Israel Tour and Bible Land Tours

Dr. Randall Price has made over 80 trips to Israel and the lands of the Bible, most of them guiding groups on study tours of Israel, Jordan, and Turkey. He started the Tour part of his ministry after studying at the Hebrew University in Israel and seeing how it changed his perspective and realized a need for pastors in particular and believers in general to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for the land of Israel and under-standing the Bible in the context of it's geographic and cultural setting. Our Israel tours are typically limited to one bus (50 people) to keep the tour personal and allow complete access to Dr. Price and his wife Beverlee during the tour. Occasionally, depending on the tour, this limit will increase beyond 50.

DAY 1 - Saturday, June 4 - Meet our tour group in NEWARK (EWR) by 8pm (if possible arrive by 7pm) for a 10:50pm departure on Continental Airlines for our flight to the land of Israel.

DAY 2 - Sunday, June 5- Arrive TEL AVIV at 4:15pm  and transport to JERUSALEM the holy city and a drive around the city walls. Check-in to the Dan Regency

DAY 3 - Monday, June 6 - JERUSALEM - visit the MT OF OLIVES for an overview; then enjoy a 3,000 year trip back in time at the TIME ELEVATOR. Next we learn about Israel’s history at the ISRAEL MUSEUM visiting the MODEL OF SECOND TEMPLE JERUSALEM, the SHRINE OF THE BOOK, the museum of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the ARCHAEOLOGICAL WING with finds that  reveal Israel’s past.Our afternoon takes us to DAVID’s CITY to see the recently excavated remains of the palace and WARREN’S SHAFT and SPRING TOWER from the Jebusite & Canaanite periods, and to walk through HEZEKIAH’S WATER TUNNEL. We conclude our day visiting the new excavations at the POOL OF SILOAM in the KIDRON VALLEY. Overnight at the newly remodeled Dan Regency.

DAY 4 - Tuesday, June 7 - JERUSALEM - Today we enter the TEMPLE MOUNT, site of the Jewish Temple to walk on the ancient platform and visit  the WESTERN WALL. Next we visit the JEWISH QUARTER to see the TEMPLE INSTITUTE, where preparations are being made for a future Temple, the FIRST TEMPLE MODEL, the BROAD WALL and the BURNT HOUSE. In the afternoon we explore the TEMPLE MOUNT EXCAVATIONS and the WESTERN WALL TUNNEL which allow us to “walk where Jesus walked” on the original street beside the Temple Mount. Overnight at the Dan Regency.

DAY 5 - Wednesday, June 8- COASTAL PLAIN - Following the Mediterranean Sea we arrive at CAESAREA, the resort of Roman officials such as Pontius Pilate and prison of the Apostle Our next stop is MEGIDDO, the name synonymous with Armageddon to tour the ancient site. Next we go to the NAZARETH VILLAGE where we will experience a re-creation of daily life & customs in Jesus’ day! We climax our day high above the SEA OF GALILEE on MT ARBEL for a panoramic view of the ancient sites associated with Jesus’ ministry and the 2,000 year-old city of TIBERIAS. Overnight at the Gai Beach hotel situated beside the sea.

DAY 6- Thursday, June 9 - GALILEE - Begin today on the MOUNT OF BEATITUDES site of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Then descend by foot along the “pilgrim’s path” to TABGHA (Peter’s Primacy) where Jesus met the disciples after His resurrection. Then visit CAPERNAUM, the synagogue where Jesus preached, and see the JESUS BOAT, a 2,000 year old fishing boat and take our own BOAT RIDE across the sea of Galilee to EIN GEV. In the afternoon we journey to the GOLAN HEIGHTS to see the archaeological site of TEL DAN with a gate from Abraham’s time and the high place of Jeroboam and CAESAREA PHILIPPI (palace of Herod Philip and Temple of Pan. Return to the Galilee for a Baptismal service at YARDENIT and an outdoor buffet beside the Sea of Galilee at the Gai Beach Hotel.

DAY 7- Friday, June 10 – JORDAN VALLEY/JUDEAN DESERT- Begin our day at BETH-SHEAN, one of the largest archaeological sites in Israel with Egyptian, Philistine, and Roman remains. We then drive to Qumran, site of the community that produced the Dead Sea Scrolls and of Dr. Price’s excavations on the southern plateau and then on to EIN BOQEK to check-in to the beautiful Meridien Dead Sea Hotel. Leisure time to enjoy the amenities of the hotel’s spa (optional), the immense swimming pool or experience floating in the DEAD SEA at the hotel’s private beach. Delicious evening buffet.

DAY 8 – Saturday, June 11 – JUDEAN DESERT- Begin the day at MASADA  site of the Jew’s final stand against the Romans in A.D. 73, ascending by cable cars to see the remains of Herod’s palatial fortress. Next we drive to EIN-GEDI where David hid from Saul and composed some of the psalms. Then return to the beautiful Meridien Dead Sea Hotel.

DAY 9 - Sunday, June 12- BETHLEHEM- Christmas comes early this year as this morning you enter BETHLEHEM. Climb the HERODIAN, the mountain-fortress of Herod the Great where the infamous king’s still lies entombed, then to the SHEPHERD’S FIELD (YMCA) to sing Christmas carols inside a shepherd’s cave (with manger outside!). Next we enter the CHURCH OF THE NATIVITY, the traditional birthplace of Jesus and site of Jerome’s translation of the Latin Vulgate. After time to shop at an OLIVE WOOD STORE we go on to Jerusalem and check in to  the Dan Regency.

DAY 10 - Monday, June 13 –-  JERUSALEM -  Begin today at CAIAPHAS’ HOUSE and then walk the VIA DOLOROSA, Jesus’ path to the cross, ending at the CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE, the traditional site of the crucifixion and tomb of Jesus. Next we return to the MT of OLIVES and walk down “disciples path” to DOMINUS FLEVIT, the place where Christ wept over Jerusalem and to the GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE where He prayed. Our reflection on the sufferings of the Savior climax at the GARDEN TOMB with a COMMUNION SERVICE under the olive trees. Special FAREWELL DINNER at an exclusive Isralei restaurant and then to BEN-GURION Airport for your security check-in and 11:55 P.M. flight to the U.S. Jordan group returns to the Dan Regency Hotel.

DAY 11- Tuesday, June 14- Israel Group arrives at Newark; transfer to your domestic flights for home with our memories together in the Holy Land!

DAY 11 – Tuesday, June 14–. JORDAN - Jordan Extension Group crosses into JORDAN at the Allenby Bridge to visit the site of JERASH with its fabulous Roman ruins including the Temple of Diana and colonnaded streets. We move on to  AMMAN, the Ammonite capital in biblical times, to see the ancient remains of the city and to tour the CITADEL MUSEUM which houses some of the Dead Sea Scrolls including the famous Copper Scroll. Time permitting we conclude our day at MT NEBO where, like Moses, we will view the Promised Land and then return to Amman to overnight at the gorgeous Le Meridien Amman.

DAY 12 - Wednesday, June 15- JORDAN - Today we drive to MADABA to see the oldest map of the Holy Land. In the afternoon we will visit MACHAERUS, the palace of Herod Antipas where John the Baptizer was beheaded. Next we will drive beside the Dead Sea to the off-  the-beaten-path site of BAB-EDH-DRA (proposed site of Sodom) where you will walk in the ash layer and be able to handle shards of pottery and bits of brimstone (sorry no fire). We then arrive to overnight in PETRA at the beautiful Movenpick hotel.

DAY 13 - Thursday, June 16 - PETRA - Enter the previously forbidden site of PETRA through the once secret Siq to tour the Nabatean and Roman remains of the ancient 15-mile long rose-red city in stone! Tour at leisure the Treasury and rent a donkey and escort to climb to the Monastery and High Place. Evening  return to Israel and overnight in EILAT at the Dan Panorama Hotel. Evening at leisure to enjoy the nightlife or stroll around the bazaars nestled around the Red Sea.

DAY 14 -  Friday, June 17 – EILAT/TIMNA PARK - Our morning takes us to the MARINE OBSERVATORY to see the exotic aquatic life of the coral reefs. Next, optional swim or snorkel in the RED SEA or shopping at the Eilat Stone Factory.  Next we visit the WILDERNESS TABERNACLE, a full-scale replica of Israel’s first sanctuary in the desert. We then proceed to Tel Aviv for dinner and then to BEN-GURION Airport for our security check-in and 11:55 P.M. flight to the U.S.

DAY 15 - Saturday, June 18 – NEWARK - Arrive at Newark at 4:45 am; transfer to our domestic flights for home with our memories together in the Holy Land and Jordan!

Included in the tour costs is our exclusive Pilgrims Journey to Israel tour journal which is a mid size binder with card stock site pages that allow for personal recording of thoughts and history notes and has as much scripture in full pertaining to the sight as possible. It also has space opposite each site page to put two 4"x6" photos or postcards. See sample here.
